Duties and Responsibilities
Service technicians will be required to:
- Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and then move the vehicle to the service stall area.
- Diagnose issues as outlined in the repair order.
- Perform the work outlined on the service order while following all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as factory and dealership standards.
- Alert the service advisor if anything changes (for example, if additional service is needed, if the service will take longer than expected, or if a service on the order does not need to be performed).
- Communicate with the parts department if parts are needed for service. If you are performing warranty work, or if it is requested by the customer, you may also need to tag and save old parts.
- Document all the work performed, and perform a road test of the vehicle to ensure that any complaints have been addressed.
In addition, you will be required to keep up to date with INFINITI technical bulletins and to attend regular training classes to ensure that you are up to date with the latest techniques.
